Wasn't there a cinema, in amsterdam?, that showed the film on a loop or something like that.

Possibly. The UK theatrical ban was in some way linked to cinemas and their licence from the council. I expect the rules are different in foreign places.

Though Kubrick pulled the film from the Uk after someone committed a violent act citing clockwork orange as the inspiration.

Drove nearby the tag today. I think.
