I'm with you on espresso tastes; I avoid all the newer coffee shops in town for the most part and stick to Sal's brew over at Xcues, started by his dad in 1969.

I have a feeling you'd love that coffee roaster on Delancey Street in Camden. About as old school in appearance, methods and coffee as you get. Proper coffee nostalgia.

I'm particularly fond of their Santos dark roast but it's not very third wave friendly.

Never knew about that even though I must have cycled past lots of times! Do you happen to know if they’re open through lockdown? Google seems to think not
