Wow. These bikes have been getting ahead of themselves.

Explanation or the beginnings of an excuse;

I don't think either will be in the top 10 (would be nice tho, we'll see)

This.
I have not seen anything written in the press anywhere about the Factor fail.
I would prefer to lose the bottom of my drops on the cobbles over a catastrophic fail of the fork. -

Not sure I have a preference for how I loose my teeth riding my £8k bike.
That said that one company seems to be taking the right steps. The other burying their head. That in part, might be due to the profile of the rider concerned rather than anything genuine. -

NO HUGGING... The UCI have gone mad.

This is what the clamps look like on a Canyon Grail

• #31261
Yes those are the Canyon DIY version

Can the tightening bolt go through to make contact with the bar?

• #31263
2018 bardet has me dreaming of more cobble/ardennes/gc mashups
-
• #31264
It's hard to tell, maybe if you overtighten it. (Or use the wrong length)

Eurosport are offering annual pass for £19.99. Sounds like the ES player is better than the GCN app right?
-
• #31267
someday we'll know what was (or rather 'is') up with this I guess

I don’t know if it’s just me, but the only people looking bad in this situation currently are Team DSM. Why do they need to bad mouth a young rider? If they suspected he was doping, which is the insinuation, then they should’ve shared their concerns with the UCI anti-doping team (and any evidence they had to back this up).

assume that journo is sourcing those tidbits from a DSM insider - bit snidey circumventing their NDA by briefing against him anonymously
-
• #31271
Hold your hat. I totally agree with you ;-)
-
• #31272
Just in time! My current annual sub expires on the 24th, guess I’ll be cancelling and signing up with a new email in a couple of week. Personally I think Eurosport has more to offer than GCN... I’ve not found anything to suggest otherwise so far.

• #31273
Yes and they're kind enough to let you watch it when the cycling should be on ;)

TBH, if some staff member in pro cycling has a conscience (assuming they think he's been up to no good), I think that's a good thing
-
• #31275
Wouldn't that conscience be better served by them informing the proper authorities to investigate, rather than anonymously briefing a journalist with gossip?
