Ah man, that’s the model they’ve launched the actual newly remade cunife wide-range humbuckers in that sound fantastic. We were discussing them not long ago. I came close to pulling the trigger on a mocha one, I think it was guitarguitar who are or were offering them for 1300 on Reverb which is great value considering they’re US made, hardcase, nitro lacquer etc and a lot of Mexican models are over a grand now.
Edit: it’s GAK.

Does it have a middle pickup fitted, or standard bridge and neck?

Standard bridge and neck. I asked on a guitar forum and apparently this is standard for early 2000s Teles. Weird, eh? I suppose they routed foe all eventualities and saved money on having different patterns for different models.

Here’s the link. Every day is a school day! I was worried I’d bought something mismatched.

“Great for hiding a cheeky ounce” lol

My 2001 USA tele is routed for a neck humbucker and a middle single coil. It’s basically chambered!

I quite like it. I swear the hollowness under the pickguard adds a bit of acoustic resonance.

Isn't that what Fender call a Nashville Tele? Three single coils in a strat configuration?
-
• #10886
It is, though only the middle pick up is a strat single, neck and bridge are standard tele I'm pretty sure. Didn't some Nashvilles also have that weird b-string bending thing going on as well or was that another model?

They do, I've got one...

It is, but they’re MIM, my bandmate has one. I didn’t know others were routed for them though, that’s really cool. I wonder if that’s how Stuart Braithwaite’s middle pickup got added - it’s not a Nashville either.

Is it literally something that makes the b string more bendable? Never got to try one of those 🙂

Pitches the B string up a tone, it's a great effect... Traditionally used for pedal steel type tricks on a six string guitar...
I've written a couple of things on it using it in a less conventional way, it's super fun... I haven't taught myself the Clarence White songbook yet, that's still on the to-do list... Really easy to figure out some of the classic country licks tho', very niche but I love it...

A friend was talking about Jimmy Page's use of a bender, I had to confess that I'd never investigated his use of it... Did a quick Google and was a bit non-plussed by what I found... Couldn't really detect any discernible bendering at all... 🤷
Just found this tho'...
Doesn't touch Clarence even on a bad day, like this weird Byrds Playboy clip... There's an amazing audio version of Wheel's On Fire where Clarence pretty much sets the world alight with his telecaster, will have a dig around for it...

Couldn't find the version I was looking for but have this instead, possibly one of the most joyous pieces of guitar playing ever... I love this track so much, it's always with me floating around in my head...

No. Left the clear ones on
Google says that 0038417xxx is the part number for an American Standard Tele body in Natural Ash. Looks like it’s legit but someone modified it, or at least had it routed.
