  • Milwaukee stuff is very good apparently but it gets pricey. I like the option of using the batteries on other DeWalt products should I decide to buy others. Thanks for the tip though.

    It is. But it's also worth pointing out that they don't do cheaper ranges in the same way that the other 3 big names do. So when comparing just make sure you're comparing apples with apples.

  • Thanks for that. I have a range of tools from various manufacturers and the thought of moving to one where batteries are interchangeable appeals to me. Milwaukee would be great except I really can’t justify the cost for my random DIY jobs.

  • That's an interesting point that I'd never really considered. I often recommend the Erbauer gear for the exact reason that it's definitely good enough, readily available and with a good selection of tools. Buying into a pro tool battery system can be costly if you need an extra couple bits for occasional use!
