Yeah, it's evolved from that to groups of placeholders waiting in line & buying everything, to groups of undesirables taking over the line & buying everything to bots swarming the online stores on the second of release & buying everything, it's mental - I refuse point blank to entertain any of it. Primarily because i'm cheap, but also fuck those guys - what's the point if they're not going to be worn? People with garages full of £20k worth of shoes that'll never be worn, why bother - get a classic car ffs...
Years ago I has a couple of pairs of Nike LD1000 & Waffles when they first started doing the worn-in looking reissues - wore them in pubs & clubs until they literally fell off, seen some similar pop up ebay or somewhere recently & they were a fortune, fuck that - why bother sitting on a pair of unworn £50 trainers for 15 years hoping to make a couple of hundred quid at the end of it?
The only way to deal with it is to remove demand right? I'm never buying at resell money. I'm flabbergasted that people do. Imagine having £25k in your bank and then having £0 but a pair of dusty 19 year old Paris Dunks?
