Enve 2.2 / Chris King R45 Clincher Wheelset

Enve 2.2 Wheelset with Chris King R45 hubs. (Shimano 11s)

Hubs have circa 2000km use on them, originally on 3.4 rims, but had them rebuilt onto 2.2 rims a year or so ago at Saddleback. CK hubs had a full service hen the wheels were rebuilt, and these rims have sub 200km use on them since then, as they have been on a bike I've barely ridden.

Only selling as the rims are slightly too wide to use on one of my bikes, and I want a wheelset i can use on both of them. Rims are 28mm wide external with the current V.2 brake track.

1400g for the pair on my fairly inaccurate luggage scales. Enve say they are 1328g.

I paid a lot more than Hoops wants for the same wheels, this is a great price for (if they fit your bike) a great wheelset.

They also sound like a firework when you brake, which is great fun.

I do however have a set of R45 on Easton EC90 SL clinchers if a trade would be considered?

I have a pair of these. The single best pair of wheels I’ve ever ridden. Faster than Lightweight tubs. I’ve taken them off my bike for the first time in a couple of years and replaced them with some v nice H+Sons. It rides like a cart horse in comparison then the Derby winner it is. £1200 for these is a total f*cking bargin !

Can I check - is the 28mm external measurement exact?

I am (still) tempted by these... The wheels I currently have but haven't fitted yet are 28.4mm external and they look tight; an extra 1mm might get me there and I thought I'd seen these advertised as 27mm ext?

Enve say they are 28mm.... My callipers are saying they are 27.2ish in real life.
