  • This is nuts. Bike prices are going to rise faster than bitcoin.

  • mad that 1400 only gets you cables and 9speed.

  • Clearances only go to 700 x 42 but these are Ok value at the moment all things considered

    Orro Terra C

  • Have a look at Decathalon... They had stock of their Crabon GRX last week...

  • Thru axles and flat mount killed 600 pound steel frames. Brexit killed choice. Covid killed supply chains.

  • Time for @BareNecessities to update thread title to fabled arkose and dwindling Evans Cycles.

  • Not only does gravel not exist, gravel bikes don't exist.

  • Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Are These Prices Real Hahahaha cyclist, Just Stick The Gas Pipe In Two Triangles Like Cyclist use quick release Haha

  • If I’m going to be ripped off, I at least want to know that part of my money is going to be spent on PDF’s and nice photos of beautiful people in forests

  • I have an orro Terra c and have enjoyed it a lot, my first through axle hydro brake modern non mtb and it’s great for road, winter rides and light gravel- will be a bit more ambitious this year. Clearance is tight though

  • Clearance is tight though.

    Road race bike have more!

  • The prices are nuts at the minute.. I saw a Genesis Equilibrium disc with GRX / 105 hydro for £2600... Mental..

  • TBF it's the Genesis that are slightly more expensive than the others.

  • My Arkose D3 turned into a sweet fixie last week (with only 1000km of use since new).

If I remove the freehub to look for gremlins ... Evans will screw me on the warranty won’t they?

  • Just the freehub? probably, not going to void the warranty on the frameset.

  • Ok. I’ll resist the urge to fiddle.

I’m quite happy with the frameset :)

  • not artisan gram like inducing enough

  • Given the arkose doesn't exist, what is the go to (in stock) £1500 grave bike

I just did a 2021 Arkose today. £1500, 1x GRX, looks almost the same than the previous one.

  • It's probably just dirty, I've seen a few. Easy enough to remove and clean the pawls, but maybe best if you get it done there just in case.

  • And to think just a year ago you could get a basically brand new Arkose with 105 and hydro brakes for a mere £500...

  • Imagine how cheap the secondhand prices will be next year...

  • TBF the retail price for the highest range 105 was £1300

  • Ooh, got a link for the purple seat post and headset spacers?

  • prices on ebay for arkose are still quite reasonable

  • I spotted new bikes on Evans website recently as well.
Also spotted that Felt gravel bikes are pretty cheap and look quite well specced for the money.
