I don't like the tyres much, a little bit pedestrian for my taste.
When I saw your pics I thought: nice bike, shame about the tyres!
Are they 27's ?
For what it's worth I seem to remember that old Michelin tyres were a bit on the loose side even when they weren't old. I have a pair of Constrictor rims (26") and recently I found that a Michelin 'zigzag' which was perfectly ok on a Dunlop rim blew straight off the Constrictor. A modern Schwalbe stays in place without difficulty.
I have just shellacked the handlebar tape. Three coats, messy job but I like the effect.
I don't like the tyres much, a little bit pedestrian for my taste. I did try some old Michelin tyres on the constricor rims but when you pumped up the tyres, they would literally force themselves of the rim. So they were abandoned for these.
