That's wise. I guess if it dries out a bit there's more grip on the roots but it hurts more if you fall off.

I guess I would need a very light bike to get involved in that kind of behaviour, cue searching for 2 stroke off roaders. :)
I'd like to leave my street for more than an hour a day though. Right now that muddy hill looks very inviting.

DR350SE has the Acerbis 12L tank and the luggage rack fitted. It’s not light by any means. And yet, plans for tomorrow have begun.

I remember going down thinking ‘oh shit, he’s not going to like this’ - took several attempts for me to even climb back up to help as I kept slipping. Hohoho.

His gear looks quite light weight. Are you off-roaders all not normally armoured with shin pads, chest protectors etc.?

Nah they carry guns and just shoot the ground if it tries to hit them.
In all seriousness, everyone makes their own choices on kit. I paid out and have the soft and hard armour.
Recently I’ve opted for comfort, so I wear the Acerbis X-Air or whatever it’s called, and soft knee pads strapped directly to me, as well as the AS Corozal adv boots.
Some guys still go over jumps in trainers, each to their own.

Yea I know this will be one of those “I can’t believe I struggled on *this*” when I look back. Gotta suss out pinning it up loose climbs, so I can work on loose and relaxed downhills too.

Got almost halfway! Maybe another day.
Served me right for filling up a full tank too.
I got stuck on the roots, wheel was spinning no matter what. Got off. Took the photo, tried pumping and rocking the bike while to the side. Still no good. Fell over.
Took longer getting down again!

Your wish is my command, seems silky smooth compared to the RSV which will take some getting used to. Also moving it around in the garage it feels a lot lighter which is surprising.

Sweet. I'm so used to big twins I find the big 4 cylinders hard to ride, not enough torque low down and I have a tendency to stall them. It does seem weird that the 2 bikes would feel that different.

Thought you might approve. Would love to tax and insure it but funds are low, also the tyres are from 2006 ಠ_ಠ. Fairings will be coming off tonight and I'll be cleaning it up with WD40 so that's enough excitement for now.
