Re fully period correct spokes ... 💥 ... yes very pleasing, period correct and about as strong as you could hope for from the period. They do clean up with Autosol too.
Re red for the Gillott badge ... I have Humbrol red gloss enamel #19, just because that’s what I’ve got not any colour matching. Looks ok though. Tbh if I can just get it to look like it wasn’t done by my 6yo I’ll be happy.

Do you have a red chosen for the headbadge?
I’m going to need to decide one for the decal set soon (anyone got a Pantone book they can lend me for an afternoon?) - my roundel is a darker blood red (definitely less orange than some repros) but no idea what they were originally.
