  • XV01 can take it

  • Yep, now drip dried and cleaner than it was before.. good fun on the snow. Sadly the gritter just went past so suspect it will be slushy by tomorrow.

  • Bout as deep as it got in Surrey...

  • nice!

i stuck a power dash motor in my king cab......little bit quick for the house

  • Heh. I remember hopping these up at school.

I think the TF Evo Jr has the equivalent of a dynatech as standard.

That said it is about 20 years old now and smells like it. 😜

  • I can’t tell if those 4x4 trucks are the same as the ones I used to have as a kid. I used to hop them up by shimming the magnets in the motor closer to the rotor. Then used NiCad batteries instead of alkalines because they always used to spin the motors faster than non-rechargeable batteries. Mad to think I knew how to do that when I was 10.

  • Gearbox out of the Beetle.

I think the torque on the frog shafts has stripped something...

Sounds like a bag of bolts.

  • Niice!
I was considering one of these, what motor did you go with?

  • Just standard. Lipo battery though, I'll only drive it in the kitchen too nice to bash.😬

  • That looks awesome. Really tempted to get one once they arrive in NZ.

  • Noice

  • Is lipo that fits in oval batt compartmet?

  • This section is 5 different decals. Not impossible to get perfect but you need to overlap the wheel arch then trim the excess.

Heat gun is required to get them smooth.

  • Yeah.

  • Heat gun is required to get them smooth.

    Always

Did you smoke the windows? BRAVE.

  • Cool.

Does it give more poke than Ni Mh?

Just the boggle of charging with Tamiya connecters.

  • The shell in the kit is pre painted, windows tinted...

I've got another shell arriving next week which I'm going to do something different with.😁

  • Deans connectors, Tamiya are not great.

Lipo gives more poke and run time.
