Who the fuck knows what was going on there? A military pilot needs a seriously good reason and a whole lot of permissions to be doing that.

Christ, we get Apaches going over us, as well as F16s and Ospreys, being as we are near a USAF base, and they are LOUD even from quite high up, that must have been monstrous

Just saw a Tweet from yesterday saying that one did something similar over a park in Chelmsford yesterday.

I was out walking recently, heard a noise looked up (simultaneously) big old helicopter like this was right over us and low too, like these ones. My point being that this noisy beast had some kind of super-duper sound suppression so that we never heard it until it was right on us. Clever stuff, being able to get that much firepower on top of the baddies without giving them much time to hide / prepare

I suppose it's not far from that military base near Old Street, the London militia from where the Chinooks take off. West of Tabernacle Street.
They're also filming Batman in London, might be that.

If you've got the stomach for it there are videos out there from inside Apaches hovering over the baddies in the Middle East (all legit, declassified and released) pinging rockets and bullets down on them like they're playing a video game, hidden high up in the inky blackness of the night while they scatter fruitlessly down below

that military base near Old Street
If you mean the
Honourable Artillery Company I don't think I'd describe that as a military base, more often a wedding venue these days. -

Somebody told them about Easts, but they're about ten years too late.

The trick the pilots use is to hide over a hill, pop up so the radome can see ahead without engine or blade noise projecting forwards, pop down again, lock on, pop up and fire. Chilling.

I probably shouldn't get so triggered by shit polls, but all these people can go and get fucked:

Different than helicopters but I was once on an RAF airfield and a Eurofighter Typhoon was doing really low flybys over our heads. Even though I knew where it would be coming from it was impossible to actually see it approaching, it was just suddenly there and then you could follow it flying away and pulling up.

I did some riding in the lakes last september, and there quite a bit of military aircraft kicking around over there. We got to the top of the struggle. Which is a fairly hefty climb and was a really hot day. Sat down at the top to wait for the rest of the group and a giant scary looking helicopter appeared over the hill. Really low and impressively quiet as people have said. I thought i was hallucinating hah. Wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of one of them at all. There was a bunch of people around as there is a pub at the top of the climb, and the pilot waved at us through the window.

Toxic individualism :(
Not broken down by age, would be interesting to see if there's a difference there.
Perhaps fixing area and general income inequality will also address some other inequalities...at least fixing that has widespread support.
But then with Tories that'd be a happy accident, not a solution by design.

In perhaps happier polling news, certain tax rises are now more acceptable. Attitudes towards benefits are also much more positive, so now is a good time to tax more and invest / uplift.

You have to look very hard but there are some okay Tories.

A key part of this will be campaigning on what Fowler called the “modern evils” of the continued global prevalence of HIV/Aids, and counties that criminalise or persecute LGBT people.
Not a subject to be made light of, but that is an unfortunate typo.
