This is excellent. I think a roof tent in addition to all the other accessories previously mentioned. Especially the aerial and jerry cans. And maybe a swamp cooler.

(I’m assuming this is limp mode or whatever).
Looks more like a symbol for a speed limit bingle bongle alert to me.

It was lovely , but not sure I’d like to drive one around UK.
Surely too big , would look better in USA setting -

It’s a shame it wasn’t running

Ok so after living for a long time without a car, I’m thinking of finally pulling the trigger. My current thinking is either a Q5 or an XC60 (with newer infotainment so 2018 or newer?).
I think buying outright seems like the best idea rather than leasing. I prefer the xc60 but reviews seem to suggest the Q5 is better. Any help to a total n00b gladly appreciated. Thanks -

Best get some test drives! Then test a 3 series estate.

Spotted this subtle number earlier in the week, mini hammer couldn’t give two shits and went to look at the weeds 🙄

That would be fun but it's not for me, I fucking hate camping... I'm driving down to an AirBnB in NSW next weekend, that's the closest I'll ever get... 🌁♥️

You can still buy all the gear, it's not about actually going camping, it's about knowing you could go camping.
How far south are you heading?

This just reminded me of a funny story from yesterday. Visiting my aunty and she was telling me she's looking at a new car.... A Subaru "15" the dealer had no idea what she was asking for. "Sorry ma'am, Subaru don't make a model 15" still chuckling at the mental image.

Not at modern car sizes.

On my cycle round today, 'found' a really nice 205 1.3 rally. Was behind a wall so decided no photo, but looked clean and unmessed about with.
Couple of MGBGT, one with wire wheels and the front wire wheels were cover in brake dust and had the proper age plate. A quite nice triumph 1500 with a nice patina.

Can you even do test drives these days?

At a guess that has had some serious mods to have 5 bolt wheels, and no more lever arch dampers...

Ha! There are enough of those knobs around my way, they're all ready to go camping straight from their desk at work... They never actually go anywhere tho', they camped on Moreton Island once twenty years ago...
Only going as far as Cabarita Beach, haven't booked it yet, hope we can find somewhere!
We should be okay, I think most of the traffic is coming this way... Everyone wants to live in Queensland all of a sudden...

I misread that as Cabrito Beach and now I want cabrito tacos.
Replaced the cat and middle pipe on the jazz, after many weeks wait and much faff getting the right parts, after being sent incompatible parts blah blah blah.
Was a bit of a bodge drilling through the sheared off bolts, but managed to rig together some m8 bolts and washers to recreate the funny OEM fixing. I bought a fitting kit but couldn’t use it after I decided to just drill straight through instead of attempting the nightmare of re tapping the old holes.
Edit, it is not limp mode. It was a speed alarm, no idea how or why that had been switched on. Reset and it’s gone away.
Anyone know how to take a Honda jazz out of limp mode? Replaced the cat and lambda sensor (thank fuck), no engine codes showing, but when I put the keys in, two speedo icons show up, one scored through, with 30 and 50 mph beside it (I’m assuming this is limp mode or whatever).Any ideas.
Also, doing exhaust work on a driveway is fairly exhausting.
And fuck those little scroates that go about nicking cats...
