Surly/Kona/Xtracycle (or whatever the original USA branded long tail was called)/yuba (newer one, older ones are like a wet noodle) and then add a bafang mid drive kit?
Also look up Benno, e boost is probably closest to a GSD, maybe half a notch higher quality?Bosch performance cargo mid drive, can take 2 batteries if you really want, front rack is decent, rear rack is lengthy, can take 2 Thule Yupp.
Start from £4.5k (same as last years gsd pricing) but then you need to add all the racks you want, they come bare. So budget approx £5-5.5k for all the racks and mounts/seats etc. PM for details if you want, got to jump on one very quickly to stand a a chance of April delivery.
In need of a new bike; our shed is too full of bikes so we can clear a few if we can replace with one more usable one.
The Tern GSD gen1 was perfect; we test rode and both now agree we should have bought it.
The new one is £500 more and uglier, suspension forks are not required and I dislike the even slacker seat tube angle (aesthetically)
Any other contenders?
Must take 2 kids, plus a bag or two
Compact to fit in shed (bullitt is too big for our town’s infrastructure/to get in the shed)
Kinda quirky / cool
Electric assist
If nothing else, we have bullit space out front, but this requires a new house being built for it and would rather not
