  • Hey guys and gals, I'm finally fixing my office/studio up... I've got too many guitars so thinking about getting this Hercules rack for them to live in and keep them neat, tidy and accessible... I'll put most of the cases into storage 'til we finally get a garage built, they're so bulky and annoying... I'll just stash a few under my bed so I've got one handy if needed...

An I making a terrible mistake getting this thing? Will it destroy my guitars?

  • I've got a really cheap rack I use for mine. It seems ok. Are they known for damaging guitars?

Tbh I don't really like having them at floor height - dogs and kids being what they are - but I've got too many, not going to sell any and you can store quite a lot with a relatively small footprint.

  • I know the rubber/foam on the cheap ones can sometimes damage nitro paint jobs... No kids or pets (dog is coming at some point) so that isn't an issue for me, I do worry about heat and humidity but I think a dry environment is what you've got to avoid and there's no chance of that here in Queensland...

That's a great little setup you've got, I love the idea of having all my guitars just sitting there ready to be played...
