Dos huevos con bacon por favor.
Hola guapa, como estas / que tal? (depending where you are)
That’s all I’ve got, folks.

Gracias, fin de hilo del foro.

He estado aprendido español hace dos y media años más o menos. Pero paré cuando la pandemia detuvo mis vacaciones a España. Aprendo otra vez hace cuatro meses.

"Los testiculos del perro" is how you could describe my Spanish. Woefully inadequate also works.
-
• #8
A escribir eso^^ necesito un poco de ayuda sobre pretérito o imperfecto y las palabras pandemia y detuvo. Uso Google y la aplicación 'conjugato'.
-
• #9
Conjugato es divertido porque es conjugado y gato pero un palabra. Jaja.

find music that you like in Spanish and compare what you hear with the written lyrics
Um...

Solo mira Narcos una y otra vez hasta que suenes como dea o un traficante.

Something about understanding Spanish or probably learning Spanish for two and a half years more or less. When pandemic (something) holiday in Spain. Learn more/another for four months?
and this is me doing more Spanish reading than any other language. Fuck.

I write ? need a small help ? ? and imperfect and ? pandemic and ? I use Google and the application conjugato
Shit
-
• #14
Olvidé decir, por favor solo escribes cuando estás en el baño, preferiblemente sobre el shitter, como soy ahora mismo.
-

That's basically what I tried to say. I've been learning Spanish for about 2 and a half years but stopped when the pandemic stopped my holiday to Spain. You got the next bit right too, help with whether to use imperfect or preterite tense and a couple of words.
It also probably all came out wrong anyway. -
• #16
preterite tense
I don't even know the fucking English in this thread. Double shit.
-
• #17
?, please only write when you are in the bathroom, preferably (on) the shitter, I eat I am now ?
-
• #18
hace dos y media años
Mejor dicho, hacer dos anos y medio
-
• #19
Hang on, yo como is "I eat" but "como te llamas" is "what is your name"
Does this mean como is a word that must be prefixed with the "Yo" bit to make sense re: eating?
-
• #20
Como is like or how, but also the conjugated version of comer in the first person. Context will normally tell you which one.
-
• #21
I eat you call yourself would be silly.
-
• #22
My contribution is "las luces prendidos pero nadie en casa".
Picked up from Beavis and Butthead, obviously
-
• #23
Yeah it made no sense until I remember the como te llamas shit.
I'm still 'reading' sentences one word at a time which is why I struggle with stuff like that.
-
• #24
Mejor dicho, hacer dos anos y medio
Gracias. También no necesito escribir "hace" porque that's like saying I've been learning Spanish 2 and a half years ago I think.

Good stuff @snottyotter. My gf and I started classes a bit ago, were looking at moving one day before brexit, pandemic and misaligned careers ground it to a halt. Will be back in here after I've submitted my thesis (April)
Hola!
A thread to share resources for learning Spanish, a bit of stunted chat in Spanish with what you might already know, and maybe some help from people what do good talking already in Spanish.
