If my memory serves correctly it was available in S/M/L frame sizes rather than 2cm increments from 48-62 cm.
With various combinations of adjustable stem, spacers and seatposts it fitted everyone.
The economies of scale meant they could put better bits on them and you got way more bike for your money.
The ONCE bit was to get the punters to accept them as the real deal (cos in those days you only rode what the pros had)
