  • Fork blades so wide, they printed Giant on it thrice.

  • Absolutely love that silhouette.

    And the shouty graphics.

Fun fact ... those Tacx cages are borderline unusable, compact geo or not.

  • what the hell are these cranks???!

  • Sweet wings cranks .. The original eeWings cranks

  • thats uh a very german paintjob

  • i got the frame, DA levers + calipers and wheels (hope hubs) for ~£800 off ebay about 2 years ago. massive steal considering it was a 2019 frame sold only as a frameset in that colourway for £1200ish..... wouldn't get those deals now :'( better pic;

so damn boring to look at but great ride. a paintjob would inject some life into it big time (only time i've ever considered getting a frame painted as i am that sure on it being excellent

  • littlehampton - a stone's throw from Brighton :-)

  • Great bike. I'm sure there's a graphic designer on here somewhere that can recommend you a camouflage paintjob ;)

  • Know it well.

    (I grew up there) 😎

  • i sometimes cycle past the prison and shop opposite "doing thyme". gives me a good giggle. very nice round that way, i like arundel a lot. nice quiet roads inbetween there and surrey

  • Aye my crusts still live there so down a fair bit during normal circumstances.

If Disney rip your name off, can't be that bad imo.

  • RIP the days of eBay bargains. I only got £750 for a full bike with Di2 and a decent power meter.

I’m hoping all the bikes that have been sold in the last year turn up for sale at the same when the recession bites hard.

  • What was so special about Burrows' TCR? Serious question.

  • If my memory serves correctly it was available in S/M/L frame sizes rather than 2cm increments from 48-62 cm.
With various combinations of adjustable stem, spacers and seatposts it fitted everyone.
The economies of scale meant they could put better bits on them and you got way more bike for your money.
The ONCE bit was to get the punters to accept them as the real deal (cos in those days you only rode what the pros had)

  • He's the perfect mad scientist

Think people love anything he did after the lotus bike in 92.

Was the TCR not one of, if not the first compact geo frames?

  • Certainly the first mass produced compact geo.

There were a few others before that - e.g. Dave Lloyd Concept 90

  • Mike Burrows was the first person to utilise compact geometry for frame design as far as I'm aware. The TCR was the first production bike with compact geometry (Fun fact: TCR stands for Total Compact Road).

I'm not sure if he invented compact geometry, but I think its fair to say he is responsible for it's widespread use by many manufacturers these days.

  • Level yo bars ffs. 😎

  • I’m more offended by the amount of stem on display
    Great bikes tho

Just stepped out of the wind tunnel?

  • Wow thanks for sharing
