  • Anyone built a shed on that plastic grid stuff you fill with stones? I cannot be fucked messing around with concrete, and once it's down it's down for good without considerably more fucking around, so this stuff seems like a decent bet, cheap, DIY and not permanent

  • I had that thought too but couldn’t find anyone that wasn’t selling the stuff who would recommend it. I’m sure it works though, just not as well and probably a bit less stable.

    My sister also used it for a log cabin garden office thing and was happy with it.

  • Yes, for much the same set of reasons. I didn't fill it with stones, just built the floor frame out of 2x4 on top of it and built up from there. If the plot drains well, is free of tree roots, and you can get it nice and level, and well compacted before you start, it seems good.

    No. But I moved one that was already build from a concrete slab to the plastic grid stuff.
