That stack serves two fireplaces (upstairs and downstairs), there's another stack serving another couple.
@jellybaby that's a good point. I was thinking that it's pretty cool up there but it is obviously winter. Not sure how hot it gets in the summer.

Doesn't the chimney breast serve multiple fireplaces? e.g. Mine is two stacks and 6 chimneys. You might need to try dropping it a few times and see what happens.
