I planned to get a kettle for the hob but a lot of the time we switch the kettle on and walk away which doesn't seem that practical for one on a hob.
The whistle is very very loud... and it only takes 60-90 seconds to boil, so chances are you are not far away by the time it whistles.

Nope, hard no. Definitely no.
As someone that is distracted by pretty colours, loud noises, TV, screens, shiny things, etc and fucked around with a kettle on a hob. I immediately went back to a shitty electric kettle that turns off all by itself.
For someone with wifi enabled hobs and shit I'd think that having something that didn't try to burn your house down would be relatively higher on your list.

Looks really good. I like the way the hob reflects the splashback.
