Anyone got a good solution for a shoulder strap? I have that short red strap bodged into my bag but would really like something that could go over my shoulder but with some way to clip it up so it’s not flapping in the wind?

That just looks like it'd flap about when you were riding though.
Maybe I should just buy it and see if I can modify it.

Mine is inside my bag 99% of the time, it takes about 5 seconds to fit it and wear on your shoulder.

Can you rig up a messenger style cross strap to add to it?

You could just attach the straps and put the floppy bit in the bag, close the flap and then open the flap or unhook at one end and pull it through when you want to use the strap?

Yeah, maybe I am over thinking it.

Love it, very clean

Thanks, the whole shebang lifts off pretty easily to leave the bike looking unencumbered again. I really wanted to avoid having a bracket bolted onto the handlebar. It's only made possible though by switching away from the old centrepulls, which frees up the cable-stop bracket at the headset.

Anybody got one of these they don’t need? It’s a carradice product, Saddle Bag Clamp I think ot’s called. I’m trying to bodge a decaleur think this might be my best attachment.

Pretty sure I have. It'll take some rummaging to find & confirm if identical or just similar.

Cool thanks, I'd be much obliged if you're happy to pass it on.

Great, TBH I'd like a couple as I have limited saddles that work with saddlebags, and always seem to be bodging them on the rails.
PM incoming.

I'd just ring/email Carradice and ask them; I'd imagine they might sell you one, as they're pretty good at spares and repairs.
This worked btw - 20 quid for it, they responded really quick and were happy to sell it separately

I've got one also I think in the spares if you want it for postage costs. (will double check).

Any recommendations for a small front rack to slip under my carradice when using it on the handlebars and keep it off the mudguards?
Current list topper is.https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/carriers-racks/blb-front-rack-chrome/But no experience or reviews

That looks quite nice, though any small rack would do. I generally recommend Nitto although my last one was a little skewed. Aluminum for weight savings and cheap shine if you’ve some sweat to spare.

If you happen to have canti mounts the very cheap SJS mini front rack is popular. I've just bodged one on the back of a bike without mudguards to keep it from drooping there.

I have been thinking of doing similar. I found one of these that I may buy :if it doesn't fly out of stock. https://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/BANINF22/nitto-nf22-700c-front-rack
But I also want to be able to run a basket on it for commuting. Can anyone tell me if a rack like an m-18 that fits to lower fork braze ons will be more suitable/ stronger ? I guess it depends how much weight in basket too? My 137 basket got stolen with my bike but I do have a large 139 hanging around.

Thanks all. It's an alu disc fork so the canti option is out. Will probably give the blb a go.
Spam alert: I have a customised SQR rack to sell.
