Got to know it a bit in the mid to late 90s. Felt like things were on the up a bit.

That said, my brother managed to buy a four bed terraced house there for less than £20k just before that so the starting position must have been quite low.

I worked at cliff pratt cycles in my youth for a few years before moving to London. Not sure house prices went up much from the 90's. When my mum passed away 10 years ago we sold her mid terrace house.

Not sure if the buyer needed a mortgage or whether it went on her Visa Debit card!

Is that a John Bancroft? He designed my school...

Big grim puddle is very apt.

Funny how a big puddle can make you feel nostalgic, I spent a lot of time in the art room directly above it on that pic... Bit of a carbuncle, too hot in the summer and freezing in the winter but I loved it, it was like a massive spaceship...

I suppose the seagull considered it as free very fresh free range meat...
