  • ^ my suggested track wasn't played either.

  • Mine was, second track in, and Tom read out my post. Yay.

  • 6musicbot says Tricky - Overcome, but doesn't always list everything?

There were 4 Tricky tracks played. Is there not 2hrs of filler without that?

I'll listen back for yours & flick through the more interesting tracks.

Glad to see Roisin/HBMS "The Truth", and Smith & Mighty on the track list.

  • The Truth has my favourite rap verse ever on it.

  • it was the first dance at my wedding

  • Tom Ravenscroft gave me a shout-out at the start of his show today for fixing his puncture

  • I here'd that.

  • Prime material for Small Claims Court

  • I half heard a bike shop anecdote. He's round here isn't he? ('ackney)

  • I heard it too. Push Cycles in Newington Green, right?

  • The only shout out I've had was when Radcliffe and Maconie were discussing the syndrum (early electronic drum machine.) Knowing their penchant for TV theme nostalgia I pointed out that the best example of syndrum usage in children's TV is the theme to Pigeon Street. It still gets a play every now and then so I like to think I've left a lasting mark. /csb.

  • I had the misfortune to listen to the trip hop special. It was like going back in time to one of those parties hosted by an attractive 'cool' posh girl in 1995. The sneaker pimps were played.
Edit to add.. Should have smoked a Marlboro light and insisted that my wife dug out her low slung combats

  • I had completely forgotten about Sneaker Pimps, thanks :-/

Heard Morcheeba on 6 music recently - brought back tedious menories. I think Portisheads stuff still has a bit of something to it, but so much of that sort of think has not aged well at all.

  • I only saw last night that the show was to celebrate the 30th birthday of Tricky's album. Makes sense now why they played 4 Tricky tracks. The fb posts asking for recommendations hadn't made it clear.

Marlboro light ... low slung combats

    Made me chuckle.

  • Weatherall (Two Lone Swordsmen) mix of 6 Underground was good

  • CD artwork was good.

  • Yeah but weatherall could (could have ☹️) make something good out of pretty much anything.

  • I've been listening to the last hour or so of 2001 hits, thinking yep, I know these, they're are all quite current aren't they? Oh yeah, they came out TWENTY YEARS AGO

  • Tom Robinson's Saturday night show has been axed (last one next week) and Hi-ya Liz Kershaw is moving to Sundays. Not found more detail yet but presume there's more reshuffling going on.

  • Jam supernova must be in somewhere she has been been pretty good on mornings this week. I wonder if its a special show in the afternoon rather than a post Huey pre worldwide fill in.

  • What a treat to hear Laurie Anderson on 6 music!

  • Nice if they reshuffled Liz and that waste of air space Lamaque out the door.

  • But its the northern soul top ten this week and nearly band t shirt wearing blx again.

  • It’s about this time on a Sunday that I really feel like listening to the radio. Then Amy Lame comes on.

  • ^ This. If anyone needs moving on, she would be my to choice.
