20 years in Blackheath and I never knew it was called that. The only place I've had to dive into for an emergency crimp round here is over the other side by the gravel pits. Another favourite "pit" stop nearby is Oxleas Wood/Jack Wood. But end of lockdown will be handy, since McD's on Eltham Lane is 3 miles into my standard 10 mile route, just the right distance to off-load if I've not judged things quite right.
