Yeah. Guess they have to do something wild with the pricing and spec to prevent themselves from confusing with / cannibalising the Habit range.

I love that lefty is still going. Good looking bike that.

It’s good news and a bit surprising that they’ve made a longer travel version of the latest gen. but I guess 100mm forks are perceived as useless unless you are trying to win a WC XC race.

The habit is a very different bike to the scalpel SE. Tbf, I think cannondales biggest problem is not many people who ride bigger than 100mm care about the lefty anymore.
Also the spesh epic evo and orbea OIZ TR are much better looking bikes and get raving reviews -

Dunno, they are trail bikes with very similar angles. 20cm of travel and 3cm wheelbase between them. I've always felt the current Habit is a bit neither one thing nor the other. Against the Scalpel Si it's obvious what the current Habit is and why you'd chose it over the Scalpel, but against a longer, bigger Scalpel the choice is less clear.

Yeah. They want forks they can smash to bits and go 200 hours outside of the service interval and not eat themselves.

I don't think that really matters because this is firmly aimed at 40 yearolds with cash to burn who owned Leftys and Headshoks in the 90s.

Really like that. Not the biggest fan of cannondale due to bad rental bike experience, but this colourway and -coordination shows commitment and appreciation of 'dale history. Wonder about the weight, must be a wheelset away from being illegal.

Are the handlebars shimmed with the plastic from a yoghurt pot? -
• #13888
Oh I see. No info on that so let’s go with your theory. Something by Yoplait, perhaps.

So it comes with a yoghurt shim... Like Nitto's but low fucking poly.

if you're a bit heavier the frame/fork flexes and discs can rub. QR axles can move slightly if you brake hard too (can lead to creaking)... overall it is more important for the fork but personally wouldnt opt for a frame with rear qr and disc (i had it on my caad and it sucked)

is this down country with the 120mm? looks real nice
-
• #13900
Dunno. To me it's a 'pedal it hard 25km to the trails, then get rad, then ride home again' bike.
Maybe that's Down Country...? IDK
Top of the range bike = top of the range price.
Fancy bikes ain’t cheap unfortunately.
