  • Wife suggested we watched Rovers by Joe Wilkinson and David Earl, and it is brilliant.

Not much happens in an episode but the characters are hilarious.

  • 8 weeks of it, my god. There was about a movie's worth of plot.

  • Finally got around to finishing final series of Vikings.

Was a bit put-off to see it was going to be mostly about Ubbe, Hvirtsik and Ivar as none of them were particularly great imo but thankfully they managed to fit some stuff in to make it bearable.

End of the penultimate episode had me grinning like a cheshire cat, very obvious build-up but scratched an itch i'd been missing for a few seasons.

final episode got a bit weird but I didn't feel cheated in anyway. the real show ended with ragnar imo but this spin-off inside the original show felt like it wrapped itself up enough to finish things up.

  • Is there something on right now that's easy to watch and a bit funny?

  • Just wrapped up the Expanse.

While I understand why, the character death was disappointing. Pretty much a major divergence from the books.

Also only one more series so it'll become another GoT ending. Not actually fulfilled.

  • Superstore is that, nothing special but there's loads of it and it's a bit funny with an occasional quite funny.

  • Is anybody watch anything on Apple TV,

Lasso - total rubbish, dumb comedy about a America football coach taking over a London soccer club.

Defending Jacob - Horrible, who done it type thing that I could look away from, think I finished in two sittings.

Servant - M. Night Shyamalan - Its currently in its second season, really enjoying it, for want of a better word. The subject matter really isn't an easy watch, especially the first season. Episode 9(I think) of season 1 is just horrific, the hardest thing I've ever watched. Its 30min episode that seems to work and its almost totally set in one house.

Just started watching ZeroZeroZero (on SKY) from the same people that did Gomorrah looking at the cocaine trade, it covers Mexico, US and Italy. only 4 episodes in but it brilliant by very brutal.

  • Lasso - total rubbish, dumb comedy about a America football coach taking over a London soccer club.

The review immediately makes me distrust your view on anything else. Lasso was one of my favourite watches of 2020.

  • One Punch Man on the Netfilx.

Dumb af pillorying of Anime tropes. Only one season so far, hope they get more.

  • You might be right, I did watch to the end, so I must have enjoyed it but I'm not sure I could articulate why.

  • also enjoying Servant, didn't expect second season, thought it's limited/mini series.
after last episode of season 1 it felt like job done
ZeroZeroZero also beautiful, all shot on location, rural Italy very beautiful and brutal not often you'll see on tv

  • Yeah, the second season feels less convincing, but we're only halfway through. Having to wait a week for the next episode is tedious.

Watching ZeroZeroZero has shown me just what a dreadfully short attention span I've developed because of my phone. Its the first thing in a very long time I've watch with sub titles which has made me put my fucking phone down and give it my undivided attention, totally worth it.

also deserves a shout for the mogwai sound track which is great.

  • Superstore

    Thanks, I'll take a look!

    Anything else?

  • The review immediately makes me distrust your view on anything else. Lasso was one of my favourite watches of 2020.

I've been watching it on the turbo. Not the best thing I've seen but certainly better than total rubbish.

  • loved season 1, season 2 was pretty gash, I believe a different studio made it and it's nothing like the first.

  • Ted Lasso was great, will be more as well because Americans seem to like it.

  • 2 more seasons signed off then done i think

  • Perfect.

I also slightly love Brett Goldstein so glad he's doing well.

  • Crime Scene: The Vanishing at The Cecil Hotel.
Made me absolutely furious, such cheap shit. I wasn't aware of what happened before I watched it but it's a really tragic story of a young woman that goes missing and is later found dead in a rough hotel on Skid Row. The whole thing was really sensationalist with a handful of dislikeable Youtubers who'd "investigated" the death at the time acting as talking heads. The whole horrible incident became a total media circus and the majority of the people involved in the documentary used it as an opportunity to cash in. The entire series was just speculation, with interviews with the actual people involved taken wildly out of context to help progress a narrative
It in absolutely no way sought to address the social inequality or lack of awareness/support of mental health issues that were central to the story. Avoid unless you fancy getting really cross.

  • Ted lasso. Yeah it's cheesy and easy. But it's cheesy and easy.

  • Also. Roy Kent.

  • Roy Kent

    😍😍😍

  • OK. (Some spoilers)

WandaVision seems to be adding characters from the Fantastic 4.

Next MCU series has F4 finally in the films?

  • I had an impression mcu xmen crossover
from previous interviews nods and whole xmen massive franchise, makes more sense,no ?
Evan Peters also Pietro variant from xmen

  • ha! hey that's cool now i don't need to watch this show because i totally know what happens now.

    thanks u guys!
