  • There's this one. IIRC someone on here painted their CAAD10/12 this colour.

  • Got any pics of your bike as it is?

No pictures, but it's build up in all black with Zipp parts. The green one is tempting, but there's just something about that blue colour!

Would it be total bonkers to look for a fork with less rake in order to make it appear like it has a tighter geo like the original frame?

  • it's not uncommon for Capo owners to swap out the road fork (43-45) to an Alpina track (35ish) to reduce the gap. I did it on my old 5 and didn't notice any issues

You'd need a tapered fork which limits you but the Columbus Pista Leggera is quite nice albeit with an alloy steerer

This guy closed the gap on his Vigo with one

Not sure how well it would work visually with that head/down tube junction though.

Personally if I were swapping the fork I'd go for the skinnier CAAD12 fork which would allow you to run a 28c and close the gap a bit that way. Think there might be different rake options as well.

  • Does anyone have a ball park estimate for a Cannondale frame repaint, in icelandic green for example? Messaged 3 or 4 places without response.

  • I'm afraid I'm only good for an estimate in Denmark. I'm paying £50. The guy who's doing it has more then 50 years of experience, so the price is ridiculously good. He just finished repainting my Duratech Sprinter and it looks insanely good.

Anyway, my guess would be around £250. If you want I can hear if he's willing to paint another one? Although you'd have to send it to Denmark.

  • Looking at around £300-£600 check out fatcreations on Instagram

  • Thanks for the responses. @user114639 will have a look.

@bkromann that really is a great price to paint. Would love to see the finish you get for that.

  • I hate these saddles but overall this bike is smoking.

  • Holy shit.

  • CAAD 5 track had a rear brake boss and Capo frame had identical geometry down to the mm. I think drilled fork was the only difference
