In which case, Clematis Montana is quick and grows big, start it from the opposite end from the Communist invader, cut the Russkie back hard and frequently and chuck it and the planter out when you have sufficient coverage from the Clematis. Passion Flower (passiflora caerulea) is also decorative and covers well.
Does not sound fun
