Sorry to be asking this again... I’ve got a fork with a 1.25” tapered steerer. Going into a straight 44mm tube I would be looking for an ec44/30 headset. Is there a crown race out there that will let me use a ec44/40 headset that isn’t the lauf one? As far as I can tell it’s got a bit of an awkward bearing angle.
My searching isn’t really being very successful, I can buy a cane creek 110 ec44/33 for about £65. But I’d like to move away from the 1.25” headset if possible as it seems pretty obscure.

Hope and Chris King make plates for this. So to use a CK inset 7 (which I think is the same spec as your headset you want to use?) with a 1 1/8 steerer you would get the 'devolution baseplate' to go from 1 1/8 - 1 1/2.
Edit: seems Cane creek do too? https://r2-bike.com/CANE-CREEK-crown-race-40er-series-EC-ZS-IS52-1-1-2-reducer-to-1-1-8-steel

You're missing the point. He has the annoying 1.25" lower, not 1.125"

The Cane Creek will last 110 years, which is longer than you or the fork (or probably Cane Creek) will last. Might as well go that route rather than fitting an adapter crown race just to get a 1.5" lower bearing.

You've got to look on the bright side, at least you're not stuck with one of those frames (mostly Cannondales) which will only take a 1.25 lower 🙂

Yeah, I’ve resigned myself. Was more than I wanted to spend on this but it’s pretty much the only option.

@spotter another weird thing happened. Originally I wasn't getting full resolution on my 27" monitor. I thought that might be some limitation of the cable. flipped the monitor end 180 degrees and it fixed the 27", but reduced the resolution of the 24". Flipped the docking station end and now both have full resolution.

A lot of servers will have UPSs (batteries) that will keep them going while they cleanly shut down. Also, errors on a single disc ('bitrot') can be detected by some filesystems.

Very odd, sounds like a dodgy cable

Probably, working now though.

is there some sort of USB plug to convert a non wireless printer into wireless?

If it has a wired networking (ethernet) connection this is easy - there are dongles that convert wireless to ethernet. We used this thing by Vonets
Probably cheaper and easier to buy a basic bitch wireless printer tho.

Any concerns running an 11 speed shimano chainset with a 10 speed groupset (Tiagra 4700)?
(From what I'm reading largely fine).

Reliable £/bowl guy in Southall yesterday was unable to id these fruit.
Crunchy, mild to no flavour with distant melon.
Single largeish central stone.
Anybody know the name.
