There was a good article about it a few years back

nearly a quarter of a century later I'm still specifying curry sauce, but the worst part of it is that I still feel slightly smug about it, like the serving staff are really impressed
Same here

let's keep this on the DL yeah?
in other news, ive owned a Dunlop tyred bike for 6 months and never pumped up the tyres because I thought I needed a special pump

Ah, sorry - forgot to mention this. I have a cheap track pump with a Dunlop fitting on the head I meant to give you. Bike still treating you OK?
(TBF 6 months isn't that far off my inflation routine, which was usually triggered by the thought 'this feels even draggier than usual - probably time to pump the tyres...')

ha no worries. I do actually have a similar cadence.
before Xmas: 'this feels a bit squashy. I should probably Google what pump you need for these tyres'
last week, ordering a new mini pump for fast cycling: 'i should get one that does dunlop valves!'
mini pump arrives and it appears the presta adaptor works on Dunlop.
me, yesterday: 'hmmmm. i should really Google the ins and outs of this....'
that's when I found out!

Having bikes spread out across the flat, and spare wheels stashed in various nooks and crannies, and even some retro porn worthy ones stashed under the bed, it was easy to lose track.
So with a day off today and with it raining this morning, I thought I'd take all the wheels off all my bikes, and gather them all together with any spares I have for a head count. Holy shit, the fuckers really creep up on you. Lord have mercy....

Ever since I was a child, in every single shower I've ever taken, whilst using shower gel, I soap my arms and chest then with a hand in one armpit, I slowly move the hand down my arm until it meets my other hand, creating a large bubble between my chest and outstretched arms.
I'm 28 years old -

I'm 30 years old and have never thought to do this. I'll need to think of some excuse for an unexpected 2nd shower.

I’m in me fifties and still make huge bubbles on the kitchen side when I’ve done the washing up.

Actual lol @Lolo, only 2 pairs of single speed wheels, all the rest are geared, the shame. No carbon ones either. I shall refer back to this post if I'm ever told I have too many already.
@Greenbank another lol, far too high tech for me, I don't even have a speedo/sat nav thing on any bike, and am still on mostly 10 speed. I have some USB charging lights, that's my only dabbling with modern kit :)
If you mean the silver hubs they are all an assortment of Campagnolo ones, Croc D'aune, 1st gen Chorus, and a load of 9/10/11 speed silver Chorus and Record, old school silver Shamals etc. -

No. But this is some of them.

My annual trip to macdonalds reminded me of something quite pathetic.
when I was about 11, my mate ordered curry sauce with his meal and made.some.comments implied that this was the connoisseur's choice.
nearly a quarter of a century later I'm still specifying curry sauce, but the worst part of it is that I still feel slightly smug about it, like the serving staff are really impressed
