I spent a while using a spare phone as my main internet connection. I had the phone tethered to a mini router (this kind of thing https://smile.amazon.co.uk/s?k=travel+router&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 ) and used that for the network at home.
That meant that I could use a proper router and wi-fi setup rather than relying on the phone hotspot.
