  • Possibly the wrong thread but where do people buy paintings or even prints from?

I enjoy (or enjoyed) going out and experiencing art in many of it's different forms, be that galleries or outside stuff or I can't remember the name of the place now but there's a cool old house in Cambridge that an art collector lived in that has been left how it was, all that stuff.

But I'd also like something nice to look at whilst stuck in the house. I obviously can't be buy famous works or anything but surely there must be loads of artists/painters/screen printers/photographers etc... throughout the city churning stuff out - how do you find them or their works?

  • as a place with lots on show and available to buy - https://www.theotherartfair.com I think they are online now but pretty good in person, when that happens again.

open houses during art festivals, when that happens again...
    instagram etc

I'm sure there are people on here who make art to sell, maybe start a thread asking for the sort of stuff you're interested in to buy or links and contacts etc?

Kettle's Yard - I agree, the house is amazing. Loads of things that are absolutely spot-on in there. The fella had some taste.

They have some interesting stuff (small selection of limited edition prints, etc.) in their online shop also.

  • Never purchased but a wide selection of not only art but technical drawings, posters. et cetera are at SSPL prints.
Maybe look at 1000 Museums too?
