The World Heritage designated monument is also not just Stonehenge, it is Stonehenge and the surrounding environ, which includes Avebury, the Avenue/Mall, the Kings Barrows etc etc. Pisses all over the pyramids.

Your affection for the A303 is greater than mine.

Yeah, that is an unfortunate piece of infrastructure. CSB, but an exercise during my Masters (Managing Archaeological Sites) was looking at what to do about the road.

I suggest slowing down to circa 5mph on it to get a good look at the stones, just like everybody else.

Actual #csb – drove to devon two weeks ago (moving, not an eye test jobby). First time I've gone past the henge at the actual speed limit. thanks corona!
