Where in the picture is the problem?

Do you see the black chain at the top? When I push down the pedal, the chain goes down and touches the black long metal bar(I don't know what you call it). I tried simply changing the gears higher and lower to see if it fixes the problem but it does not(I use this method because in the past I had this problem a few times and one person simply change the gears and cycle and it fixed the chain problem.

If you can post a picture of the chain when it is touching the black metal bar, we can probably tell you how to solve it.
Is the chain falling off of the front rings when you pedal? Like in my top pic above?
Or is the chain getting stuck to the ring instead of rotating?
Is the chain broken or visibly bent?

This is what happens to the chain when I push down the pedal https://gofile.io/d/Kkx3CA
Visible bent.
Why does posting a link using "Link" lag?

Dose this help ? This names parts of a bike, is your black bar one of these ?

I just posted a link to the video of my chain.

When I push down the pedal, the chain hits the black metal bar where the chainstays are at.

Ok. Watching your video, what is happening is, when you ‘back pedal’ your chain is touching the ‘chainstay’.
There can be a few reasons for this. To fix it, try the following, but stop if there’s a lot of resistance or if it feels like something might break:
1) Push the pedals forwards instead of backwards. If you don’t have space to ride, lift the rear wheel off the ground by holding the saddle with one hand, and turning the pedals with the other hand.

This is very discouraging. I just try to pedal and I can't pedal. I really need to fix this chain and can't pedal problem immediately.
Eseman, can you tell me if I can fix my chain and can't pedal problem at home by myself? If I can, please tell me how to fix it. I need my bicycle in normal condition.

I’m wondering how to structure my response... Actually, I’m changing my response. Try the above, and if that doesn’t work write a reply, let’s go step by step. I’ll try and help you out but I don’t have all night.
(What I wrote before that I’ve now taken out so we can go step by step. IGNORE THIS PART
From what I can see in the video, I think there might be two explanations:
1) You changed gears with your hand on your shifter after you stopped pedalling forwards on the bike, so the chain didn’t fully change gears. If you try what I suggested above, that should sort it out.

Most likely we can solve it, so don’t stress. Just try what I’m suggesting and write back ASAP.

Hey so it’s been >20 minutes since I suggested you pedal forward (clockwise if you’re in the right hand side of the bike) to see if that corrected the problem. I haven’t heard back and I’m now logging off, but if the previous suggestion didn’t work, try the following.
1) Check that there’s nothing stuck anywhere in the chain, like a twig or string. If there is, remove it and pedal forward (clockwise on the right hand side of the bike).
2) Check that there’s nothing in the wheels of the the rear derailleur.
3) Check the chain is properly seated on the cassette and on the two rear derailleur wheels.
4) Check if you can move each derailleur wheel a little with your fingers. If they don’t move at all, something’s broken, you need a bike shop.
5) Pick the chain up off the cassette (rear cogs) and move the cassette counter clockwise with your free hand. If they don’t move at all, something’s broken, you need a bike shop.

4) Can you point me where is each derailleur wheel?
Is Viking VX750 a good mountain bike?

My advice is to go to your local bike shop and simply talk to them.
You can ask them to help and not have to spend money.

Did you watch the video that my pedals and chain are working now?

👍
You must have shifted gears without pedalling forward, or after you stopped cycling.

what did people do before the internet was invented.. ?

They changed their faulty freewheels?

Oh I see. Shifting gears without pedalling forward or after I stopped cycling causes the chain go in a wrong position?

@johnnettles2 Idk what you are trying to say but it feels like you are being rude. If you guys are, don't be rude.

Did you watch the video that my pedals and chain are working now?
I saw the video, my advice is that you can ask question at your local bike shop without having to spend money, it may make thing easier.
If the bike is in good condition, I do recommend getting a Basic Service done (from £35 to £50) to make sure your bike is in road worthy condition, Viking bikes are not known to be reliable.

Shifting gears without pedalling forward or after I stopped cycling causes the chain go in a wrong position?
You need to pedal to change gears, and in the forward position, don’t back pedals (backward).
Hello everyone, I was cycling back home and after I reached home, I realized my bike chain came off. Now when I push down the pedal, the chain touches the black metal bar. Can anyone advise me if and how can I repair my bike chain by myself and is there anything else I need to fix/adjust/do? I need to use my bike almost everyday and if really possible, I want to fix all my bike problems at home by myself without bringing it to a bike shop and spending money.
