Ugh, thanks for the heads up. How naive of me to think that any branded cable would do.

..and myself, for some of my work!
not quite right for this job tho. need machine specialists, not art specialists, and not unlimited budget -
• #106929
Budget aside, I’m sure the Science Museum would need to transport delicate machinery periodically.

Is test cricket basically a random number generator?
-
• #106934
No, you're thinking of the Duckworth-Lewis method

Can I make a FOI request to a local council for their internal correspondance regarding a complaint about a councilor's conduct? Or is that something they don't have to provide?
They have told me there is no internal process for a complaint about the outcome, other than a court judicial review, and I'm curious on the discussions the 'panel' had when reaching their decision.

There's someone I had in mind, but I'm hesitant to recommend them, given that they ended up putting a substantial hole in the floor of The Science Museum.

• #106937
Hah, wasn’t me that was asking though! A hole you say?

is there any other headset than CK which has TIGHT AF top bearing cover? SO tight that the steerer wont slip?
-
• #106940
What do you want it to do?
I just fitted a Superstar one, the rubber O ring is pretty tight. Have to really shove it on and it will hold the wheel and fork in without a stem/top cap. As a proud Brexit fan you will like its Union Flag branding too

Could someone ID this rim?

Colombus Compass holds carbon steerer and tyre-less wheel. I too am wondering why tho.
-
• #106943
For the cargo bike; to hold steering rod; so i can tighten nut at the bottom. No preload

• #106944
Not familiar with the set up but I’m guessing a zip tie won’t work?
-
• #106945
I can try but essentially a heavy 26.8mm steel rod that needs to be held
-

Can't get my head around what you're trying to do (picture?)
But would this help?

Can you not put an expanding bolt / a cap in and hold it with a wrench or Allen key or a jubilee clip around the rod and then grab that with vice grips?

I made the same mistake trying to get a longer USB-C to USB-C cable for my monitor (the monitor is also a USB hub). I can't seem to find any USB-C to USB-C 3.0+
Do you have any links?
