  • The power to the dynamo rear light is AC. It should be passed straight through the headlight when it’s switched on, so exactly what you’d find measuring at the dynamo.

    (Unless you have a Luxos U or a Supernova)

  • I have a front light but no connector for the rear, can I just run a double lead from the dynamo connector or would it be best to put a junction in the cable that runs to the front light?

    The front light is just a cheapy B&M, its to be seen on our tandem

  • Yes you can. But the rear light will always be on, and when the front light is off it will be getting the full voltage from the dynamo. Most rear LED lights are fine with this, but some can’t cope and burn up very quickly.
