  • Hi all .....so sorry for the silence, again, been concentrating on getting these final rounds done. The time vampires have been biting my ankles, not least Royal Mail's print-postage going down for 24hrs and a series of my payments for post going into a black hole.... hey-ho, some of you have lovely stamps.

Wehay; All paid orders were in the post Monday/yesterday, and just arranging the final local dropoff/collections (check your DM's if you mentioned local collection)

Anyone still outstanding, not confirmed order, not paid, I'll round up this coming weekend and message, but have to concentrate on other work for the rest of the week. Any orders that don't get confirmed, I'll bump to those who have expressed interest in 2nd batch :)

I think I did put in every order, but if anyone didn't receive face coverings (or has a big household!) let me know and I'll get some over.

Thanks to someone who suggested a running version - it's long been on my to-do list, and will be (hopefully!) getting one to the running coach at the Outrunners for their thoughts. Couple of other variants in mind too.....

Finally, just to iterate again/set expectations; they're a great winter addition, but would be a bit flimsy in this recent cold snap (think the running version would be great in sub-zero though). They'll really come into their own for changeable sprint/summer conditions - but use however & wherever you like!

All feedback welcome and appreciated - and feel free to tag/add me/Albion in any IG posts, always love to see them in the wild.

  • When I was making my DIY burners, which are in no way comparable to the weight and packability of yours, I was considering adding some sort of retention for wearing with looser MTB kit. Possibly a simple toggle-detachable neck cord, like an apron. I guess the design problem is: how could you still get all the benefits of a burner when you don’t wear any tight kit? I’ve got two of three riding buddies who are in this camp. I guess that’s a similar use case to a runner actually.

  • Received mine yesterday, thanks for the birthday present! :)

Will try it coming sunday, have a ride planned around Flanders Fields with a cold early start and temperature seems to be rising to about 15° in the afternoon. Should be spot on use case.

Why, I've successfully used mine in the zero degree rides (realfeel showed -7 C) of last weekend, over double merino baselayers and under an Alpha ROS jacket. It really removed the need for an additional gilet over the jacket, which was my go-to in that kind of tempratures, didn't do much and also blocked access to rear pockets of the jacket.
