we can only hope that kevin can find a custom frame builder so he can build a bike around a seat angle (for SMP)

Mismatched bottles, MTB helmet, dress socks??? WTF is the point of being rich

Rate that. But not sure about 32h wheels on it.

Could be a heavier rider.
7.36kg as pictured, so I wouldn't be too fussed about some extra spokes.

Fellow Mavic Rim Anxiety sufferer here.
Hemlines, holiday shorelines and cake decorations are all things that should at times be wavy. Bike wheels not so much.

Like that a lot, cable housing aside

A lot of annoying details but I like the overall result

Cable stops on the downtube look a bit sad here.

Awesome like you bro !

Those big jockey wheels really make the silhouette of the chain look very goofy.
Other than that, it’s dreamy.

wow

This is not the functional thread.

That is stunning!

That said, whats the (technical?) purpose of such jockey wheels except decreasing the beauty of a bike, if any?

Fashion. Like the rest.

The purpose is to reduce friction around the jockeys. A larger cog provides less friction as the chain does not have to rotate along such a tight curve. And the bearings in a OSPW are usually ceramic adding to this effect.
Less friction = easier pedalling
See this article about the Trek Segafredo team using bigger rings to counter the effect of the small Sram AXS cassettes:

They save like 1-3 watts apparently. £100 a watt at best, terrible investment.

There are better value options out there now than a Ceramic Speed OSPW. KCNC make oversize systems or you can find good value individual jockey wheels. If you’re buying them off eBay, make sure they are sealed bearings.
A DA 9100 derailleur will take a 14t at the bottom; I wouldn’t change the upper wheel unless you can find a replacement with the same depth tooth as the original, as it does make a difference to shifting.

That's an £78 eBay J&L cage on a 7800 mech. Not a Ceramic Speed OPSW.

i mean the marginal difference is small, but as far as value that is huge. most upgrades have a lower w/$ ratio. particularly lightweight stuff.
does ed also pedal in the little ring on flat?
