@ltc Also a Raynaud's sufferer as well and lobster gloves are the only things that really keep my hands warm. I have then loose to avoid constriction which triggers my fingers to go numb. Mine were some £10 Tenn Outdoors ones bought on a whim. Not cycling specific and they have no padding. Dexterity isn't great but not an issue riding SS!

That would be great actually, can see if I get on with them before buying a pair. I'll shoot you a message in a bit.

I would double up and wear a liner glove from something fleecey and then heavy winter gloves like endura pro sl
I used to snowboard a lot and most proper gloves used to follow that glove model with a liner and then an over glove

I suffered with cold fingers until I bought some lobster gloves (Craft IIRC) which solved the problem. However, a new problem is that whilst they’re fine for road riding they’re not great for mountain biking as the brake levers are designed for single finger operation.
Does anyone have experience of, and can recommend, a pair of gloves with the index finger on it’s own and then the three other fingers in a mitten style cover (if that makes sense?) Bonus points if you have Reynauds.

i would recommend browsing the roeckl range which is quite big. i used some for crosscountry skiing. the problem is their sizing, hard to know without trying

I've suffered a lot with cold hands but have had success recently using 3 layers: a thin liner glove (cheap merino or silk), then some thin woollen ones, and then some Rapha overmitts (thick rubber, almost leathery - so fully waterproof and wind-proof).
The Rapha overmitts seem to get very mixed reviews online but they work well for me, they're not too stiff, I can still operate brakes and gears on my road bikes. -

What are the current go to gloves for maximum warmth?
Edit: I have small hands, don't know if that makes any difference.
Oh, OK. In that case, more like:

Ha! Very good. I went out today with some latex gloves under my normal winter gloves, off the back of some anecdotal recommendation from a friend. It was a similar temperature to the other day when I got into trouble, if not slightly colder and my hands were more or less fine. Hard to say if that's to do with the latex gloves or just the luck of the draw but I'm going to give it a few more goes and see how I get on.

Sticking to summer-autumn motorcycle gloves. Giving better winter protection than winter cycling gloves.

Not sure if you can still find them, I thought void folded. But these are if you can find them great. Only good below 1 or 2 other wise they are too warm. -

Can recommend these, am using them right now while snowboarding. Think you’d struggle to be cold in them, did ok in -18°C today!

Why do they think such horrific branding is needed.

Yeah I was nearly tempted to try their overshoes as people at work rated them but I just couldn't get past the design

If a decent graphic designer could get hold of Spatz they’d gain many more customers. Me included.

Also, Roadman. Almost as bad as Wolfpack

I've been using them for the past three weeks or so, holds up well, little bit bulky but the index finger window/slit makes up for it. Not 100% warm but considerably better than my previous solution (Castelli Dulivio C's) below 0 degrees. If you order, there's a code that gives you free socks (or, makes them free of charge after you add a pair to the cart) that's "IMOGEN2020SOKZ"
To solve the not-100%-warm problem I ordered Dissent133 silk liners to go with, should arrive this week but winter's apparently over.

Yeah, I finally folded and bought some winter shoes-boot things. Queue 14ºc

I have a lot of love for Montane Prism gloves.
Very packable, warm even when soaked, good enough dexterity, touchscreen compatible, £35ish.
All things considered they're a good balanced option for -5º to 5º riding, walking, or whatever
Ah I've seen those being discussed in another thread. I've got something similar from Endura but these might be a better bet!
