  • I think they main issue is that if you just go by the program they give you, you can burn out easily and a lot of people do.

Who is a lot of people? I still suspect it makes the majority of users quicker.
I'm very much in the 'use TR but educative yourself' camp. If you want tailoring, get a coach or try xert or something.

I say this as someone who has dug a few training holes and stopped my recent plan after 3 weeks - too much intensity. That was my fault though.

  • Have a look at the forums and you can see the repetitive "why and I failing my workout" threads.

If I was just someone that wanted to get fitter and I pay for a plan i want to trust the plan they supply. If it burns me into the ground then I'll be confused as to why.

Then go ibonline and people say "oh you need to educate yourself" . Ohh.. "Then why am paying for a plan if I need to educate myself about the plan to not get burnt out from doing it?"

Also I'm not trying to start an argument here either.

  • Under recovering is actually way more common than over training for the majority of non pro athletes although both dig you the same hole. Poor diet, not enough sleep and/or too much alcohol will do me far more damage than throwing an extra couple of intense intervals into my plan.

  • How often do they launch new plans? They throw a lot of weight behind sweetspot base, it’s almost become a meme on the podcast.

Surely there should be a variety of options. Launching options would solve the PR nightmare this is. That video has gone viral within these circles. But I’ve got a feeling they might double down.

I saw people in the YouTube comments calling for Chad’s head.

  • I still suspect it makes the majority of users quicker.

Dylan says exactly that... most people will get faster if they use TR but (a) they are more likely to dig themselves a hole and (b) they could be getting even faster.
