Boilers dont need ventilation or a vents now, they pull all there air from outside for combustion. Baxi for example are designed to be fitted in a 600 kitchen cupboard.
What you've said is more related to old open flued boilers, thats why the new ones are all Room sealed.

I bought a Samsung washing machine and an AEG tumble dryer - these were what Which? recommended and were of a decent enough price. You can also usually get a free month on signup and if you're buying stuff it is worth it (all other publishers will be ranking things relative to payouts).

I got the Samsung ones. They are properly good.
Washing Machine was £500, tumble dryer was £750 and Fridge was £1250 but that's a big American jobbie

Only gripe on Samsung is the stupid fucking song it plays when it's finished a job. Very Korean.

Oh awesome ta!
@Señor_Bear OK, good to know that you rate them is the app good too? I reckon they'll go in the garage so they can play their little ditty and not get on my tits.

You can turn off the music.

I also have a Samsung washer & dryer - app is great as they live in the garage. Just wait until the push notification to change over or get the washing.
The washer auto-doses the detergent / softener which takes all the hassle out of putting washing on and they connect to each other so the tumble dryer automatically sets the programme based on the load of washing that was just finished.
Heatpump in the dryer is super efficient. Currently using around 20kWh (£2.50 of electricity) a month.
They also stack:

Are these Samsung washing machines reliable? And quiet?
Reliability would be my main worry, I've had so much Samsung shit break I've stopped buying it. But Bosch ones have a drum which turns round using magnets and they are very quiet.
Don't get me wrong, I'm open to them. I like the idea of an Internet connected washer so hackers can do my washing for me.

They're quiet - though that doesn't really matter for me as they're in the garage. I can't hear them at all from the house.
Reliability should be fine but I guess I'll find out. I have a 5 year warranty through AO.com so I'm not concerned.

Ok awesome ta. This stack is high on the list. Just need to convince my wife we need a tumble dryer (she does not have anything to do with laundry) 🤷🏼♀️.

I had a washing machine (Hoover, 1999) with a 5 year warranty that turned out to be unreliable. It was a massive PITA as the repeated breakdowns and having to go to the launderette while waiting for repair people or parts were very disruptive. When it broke again after 5 and a bit years I was delighted to replace it (Bosch, 2006, still going although it is getting very noisy and we may replace it).
For what purpose? Modern boilers have concentric flues and suck in all the air they need from outdoors.
