Offered here before elsewhere this beautiful classic lightweight bike made by the renown London frame builder Alan Shorter.
The frame number is 17471 which I think indicates it was the 174th frame built in 1971 and the rear mech is stamped patent 70.
The frame is very light, the seat tube is 22” 56cm from centre to top and the top tube is 22” 56cm from centre to centre. Check out the fastback seat stays.
It comes with Mavic sprints with Campagnolo Record hubs, Campagnolo Record gear levers, front and rear mech, Campagnolo Record seat pin, TA chaainset, 3TTT stem, Weinmann 500 brakes and levers and Campagnolo Record pedals.
For a bike which is 50 years old it is in fantastic condition although there are a few marks.
The legendary Alf Engers used Shorter in the 1970s.
I am looking for £325 and I am based in Bromley by Bow near the big Tesco’s
