I guess will it frustrate more to miss out or to overpay in your mind?
Good question.
It would frustrate me a bit to overpay and then find out I want the new supercool Supersix Evo CX (dunno why but I have high hopes for it) a couple of months down the line. 56s are less hard to come across than 60s though, maybe not in new condition like this.

Is there a better colourway than the orange?
-

Thats a good guess (I forgot to add that it original was xc bike with 26")! I also take it that it's not an original paintjob?
Thanks!

that logo dates it a95/96, so possibly one of the M/H/C range, they all had the same basic starting point. Likely to be Cad1 or 2. The Forks dont look to be OG though.
serial number will be on the BB shell.

I’d take the orange over that.

Thanks! Almost bought this as the seller thought it would clear 700' 35mm tyres (and put me one step closer to my tracklocross/ss mtb dreams), but on closer inspection that seems unlikely.

Not mine sadly. Unusual colorway.
I’d have it but it’s for sale in Germany :-( -

Not heard about those tyres before, might fit my road bike

a friend bought the 31mm version for his himod 2018, i can ask him.
blame the fat-tyres mob on the gravel thread for cancelling any others :) they can be a bit vocal -

Thanks but it’s be for my Canyon ultimate disc.
Unless he wants to move them on :-) -

oh i see. these always had pretty largrr clearance right ?
-
• #13843
Yeah run 32 4 seasons with plenty of clearance. I’ve always been overly cautious with tread tho as no idea how they measure. Carcass or widest part with tread or...?

Nice. A custom paint job or some exotic colourway not available in Europe?

These are 35c G-One on 23mm internal rims. CAAD13 disc. Gravelking Mud 35 also fit, but 33 on the back would be usable.

Wow, sounds like CAAD13 could be my new gravel bike then!
-
• #13847
Dry gravel maybe. That was my plan, to have two wheel sets. But got rid of it for a CAAD12, couldn’t get on with it.

The tyre may fit, but I wouldn’t call that clearance.

I've seen worse

As long as you have access to actual gravel (I have about 2 miles, 25 miles from my house) then a caad12 with 28c is more than enough bike (may have killed a brand new gp5000 doing this).

@jono84 I wouldn't bet on fitting 25s in there.
I have them and tried to squeeze some 25c challenges in there and it was too close. But you may have better luck with different rim / tyre combo.
I ended up going with some 23c Vittoria Rubino Endurance, which in combo with mudguards has made this thing slower than a dense fish in custard. Dry arse and sticky tyres though, zero punctures too (balls that's cursed it). Apologies for the disgusting phone photo.
