Yes if you angle the bars up slightly then the ends will be horizontal and the angle will match the stem. Treat that as a starting point for figuring out what feels good. Obviously you'll want to shimmy the brake levers down to the same angle they are now. That might well feel good.
Mount the bar tape after all other components so you can try the position out and make little adjustments before taping.
In progress build but I don't know what i'm doing - obvs a way off completion but apart from what "feels right" - what is the 'right' stem / bar / shifter positioning ? I feel like angle bars up to match stem angle and drop shifters down a smidge ?
This is a 54 frame - i'm 5'11" (just) but with short legs (take 30" trousers max). Seatpost is just below the limit (its a short miche post) - but felt about right height wise when i swung my leg over.
Never ridden a drop bar bike so no frame of reference.
