5" tyres at 3psi, so you don't upset the cat when you run over their inconveniently placed tail

On a serious note this chart reckons 25psi for my front wheel:

25psi! #rad

Yeah, the old LT one
Fitted to my Talbot and was really good, but the bike was designed for an inline post, so my position wasn't quite right

How about Fred F's bike up ahead, or is the geo more tracklocross?

Those narrow risers belong on a 2007 fixie biek
-

According to that chart my pressure is always at least 10psi too low for my weight.. Yet I'd like to go lower for #ukwintergravel riding

Nice gravel bike there.
But seriously, nice to know, thanks. And yeah, position will be fun, I need to account for the dynamic sag of it, will take a bit of measuring.

Let him who is not an aging IT professional cast the first bit of gravel.
-
• #16735
I generally start at 40psi and then lower it depending on how slammed I'm getting on rocks/roots. Then I'll go out a week later and almost crash because the tyre flops over when cornering because it's now at 18psi because I didn't check it before I left the house.

I’ve got old ugly tiagra hydro levers and a GRX 10 speed mech running 11-40 with a 34-50 chainset no problem.

• #16741
At risk of starting off another debate on both 1x and mechanical vs hydro - does anyone know of a combination to make an slx 11 speed rear mech work with road shifters?

Because you already have the SLX derailleur?
There are pulleys that convert the cable pull. E.g. Wolftooth Tanpan:
But I don't know if the price makes sense. Better to sell the SLX derailleur and buy a GRX one in my opinion. Less of a hack and cost wise maybe not even a difference.

I suspect the answer is... get a r7000/r8000 GS RD and then a wolf tooth roadlink dm if you need to run a big cassette.

yes. I just found one in my box of bike bits and would quite like a dinner plate cassette
-
• #16745
buy a GRX one
Good luck.

You have committed a thought crime. Do not attempt to escape. The gravel police are on their way to apprehend you, whereupon you will be ritually decapitated with a 33mm tyre spinning at high speed (they cut through much better than a 2.1")

• #16748
What if they were running 3x and a dinner plate, would that put them in the gravel high command?
-
• #16749
Well done, citizen. Extra chain wax rations for you this month

25psi
3x what @pit runs, also @BareNecessities is that a nut cracker under your saddle?
The LT one?
I got this and ST and wasn't sure which, but LT seems like it will work better.
