zugzwang is worse - where you are in a place where you have to move but can only put yourself in a weaker position for doing so.
the thing I find the worst. and this is about online rather than in real life. is working through what you are going to do in your next move, based on what you think they will do, realising some peril you are flirting with as part of that move. then by the time you come back to the board completely forget about that peril. and fucking up your original move in the process.
