• Yeah give it a go. I'm 75ish and will comfortably run 19psi on 27.5x2.3, 17psi on 2.6 on natural UK trails in winter. I am used to CX tubs at silly pressures though so prefer grip and squirm over support. Bike parks or Euro rocks I'll increase them up to 22psi.

    Pressures based on a proper gauge though. I find track pumps always read high, so when friends say they are on 25psi, it's more like 20.

  • Yeah digital pressure gauge is a must.

    Tyre size and casing plays a part, 27.5x2.6 magic Mary with dh casing on my nomad at 23psi doesn't squirm too much and I can run lower if trails aren't rocky.

    27.5x2.4 dhr/f with baseline flimsy side walls feels way more squirmy
