Pressures based on a proper gauge though. I find track pumps always read high, so when friends say they are on 25psi, it's more like 20.
I use a digital pressure gauge as eyeballing a track pump is, given my great age and associated failing eye-site, tricky anyway. Also the long white beard can get in the way.
Yeah give it a go. I'm 75ish and will comfortably run 19psi on 27.5x2.3, 17psi on 2.6 on natural UK trails in winter. I am used to CX tubs at silly pressures though so prefer grip and squirm over support. Bike parks or Euro rocks I'll increase them up to 22psi.
